On Sunday May 19 at 2:45pm: Officers responded to the Rolling Acres Mobil Home Park at  1042 E Morton, Residents of the Park had heard gunfire.

A light blue SUV was seen leaving the area immediately  after.  No one was Injured or any property damaged in the incident.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan, Scott & Cass Counties are requesting Information to assist the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office in their Investigation of a recent Burglary

The Burglary took place at a convenience store in the 2900 block of State Highway 104. The burglary occurred on June 2nd, between the hours of 2:50am-3:10am. The suspect is a white male of unknown age wearing dark gray sweatpants, a light grey sweatshirt and a black ski mask. He is driving what is believed to be a blue 2007-2009 Dodge Durango with chrome tubular nerf bars. The suspect removed approximately 150 cartons of cigarettes.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan, Scott & Cass Counties are requesting Information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their Investigations of three separate cases of Criminal damage. During the early morning hours of June 15; unknown person(s)used an object to shattered the glass of three unoccupied parked vehicles at three different hotels on Morton ave. A Vehicle

at the Knights Inn, Super 8 and the Hampton Inn were all damaged. The vehicle at the Knights Inn was the only one that reported items taken, that was a pair of stereo speakers.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan, Scott & Cass Counties are requesting Information to assist the Jacksonville Police Department in their Investigation of a shots fired incident that occurred on Monday June 24. Officers were summoned at 9:15pm Monday evening to the 700 block of East College. Witness reported hearing gunfire in the area and that a red vehicle, blue vehicle and Black Ford vehicle were seen leaving the area. Noone was Injured or any property reported damaged. This is the fourth reported incident of this kind this month and the eighth in 2024 within the city.

Shortly after Midnight on July 17, Officers heard gunfire directly east of Central Park Plaza. Shell casings were later found in the area of South East and East Beecher. No one was Injured or property damage reported. This is the ninth instance of confirmed shots fired in Jacksonville this year.
